Obituary. LEBANON, VIRGINIA -- Dr. Maynard Sexton Burkett, 87, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He was born April 29, 1935, in Rich Valley, Va. to Charlie Otis and Mildred Surber Burkett. Sexton was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Benny Burkett (Judy); and one sister, Maxine Benson (Chet).
