Not my experience, half-decent "sloths" ( 10 k hp - 350 % melee base ) + 60 armor saddles rush through broodmother without loosing much health. Thus they heal much faster then Rexes with 20 k+ hp and can be filled with berries - have a bronto near swamp and its a thing of few minutes. Keep Your Distance and Beware its Rush Attack. The Brood Commander can only hit with melee attacks. Its attacks are dangerous if you get hit, but you can avoid being hit by it by simply running away from it.
