We were deep, greater than 30 feet of water and that is a big change from the shallow Walleyes and Big Perch that we had been chasing. I am assuming that we will be deep now for the duration of the ice season except for those days that we go for Walleyes! It seems this winter so far the fish just haven’t gotten into their winter ways quite yet. I believe after next week this will all change. A lot of the Perch are on the smaller side, but we managed quite a few 9-10 inchers with a few 11-12’s mixed in.
