You can't even put in double pto/ppto, the max you can put in is 12 hours, so if someone is telling you otherwise it's not true. You only need to cover the number of hours you were supposed to work. The 9 minute grace period doesn’t apply when it comes to PPTO so you need to take that into consideration. So for example, if you’re scheduled to leave at 4PM and you want to leave at 2PM, then you’ll need to clock out at 2PM or later. If you clock out earlier than 2, you’ll need to use more PPTO to cover that time as well.
