Bowfa without crystal armour.

Literally everywhere that bowfa is good except Shamans, you should be using crystal armour (+slayer helm if you're on task). Bandos, Zammy, Sara, CoX, ToB, Zulrah, Hydra. The armour doesn't use that many shards in general, and shards are fairly quick to get.Second, assuming you go on rate for bofa/crystal armor (and don't go for blade) I wouldn't ever recommend using shards to upkeep a normal crystal bow. Youll need the shards to corrupt the bow, charge your armor, and make potions, and you'll easily use up all that you get from 400 CGs.Crystal armor itself is not a big upgrade over black dhide without the bowfa, outside of the ranged defense. I would bank it for now so you aren't burning charges and pull it back out when you are able to afford the bowfa. It's a marginal range accuracy bonus over blessed d'hide. Use it where you'd use that.Just use RCB with rubies and dhide, it's better DPS. DCB if you want (main benefit is using dragon ruby bolts - ACB isn't really worth the cost). For nex specifically, acb is worth the price because of the specs alone, they significant increase overall dps especially if using a light bearer in small teams.

I'd recommend buying a Bowfa+Crystal armour if you don't have it already, it's also great for most other PvM in the game so is very worthwhile pre-tbow. You can even just camp Bowfa with a crossbow+sapphire bolt (e) switch for smite phase. Thralls + Corruption are the ideal spells to bring, but some people bring freezes.

Yes definitely. 5 seeds (3 for top 2 for legs) is where i would stop since you have both seeds the armor is what makes the bow so good but the crystal helm can be replaced by a slayer helm. It's similar or better than addy darts blowpipe on low def monsters, and bp wins with better darts. Bow is generally very strong against high def targets, but will lose to tbow if the target has very high magic. It's bis in a couple places like vespula and mystics, probably others too.
