On PC as for 9/24/23, eastern time, on a Sunday afternoon, evening, and then night, this game is dead. I have been in a queue for 20 minutes and nothing, please get friends for this game, or test your luck on different servers (Europe or something) I play it every other day still. I live on the eastern coast of the U.S. so depending on where you are will also determine finding lobbies. There's probably some website that can check how often the game is played around or near you. There are some hackers from time to time but most of my experience with this game is positive.

Just be aware that if you have a new account made after 2017, and it’s never had Black Ops server data attached to it proper to 2017, you will not be able to rank up permanently.
